How it all started..A name you won’t be familiar with is, H. W. Meyer, this company actually dates back as far as 1899 and started life as the producer of uniforms and work attire, not something you’d associate with equestrian clothing. However in 1957 when Franz-Heinrich Meyer took over following the untimely death of his father, his passion for horses led him to found the firm Haefner & Co, producing made-to-measure riding attire based at Uchte, Germany. This made Haefner & Co the first riding clothes company for industrial riding fashion!. In 1964 the decision was made to change the companys’ name from Haefner & Co to that name we all know and love so much … Pikeur!
