American Venice Turpentine is an artificial version of Venice Turpentine. Original Venice Turpentine is a tree resin, specifically from the Austrian Larch tree, that is still used by artists and art conservators. Bickmore's American Venice Turpentine is an artificial formulation with a clear yellow appearance and honey-like consistency. It does not form a barrier or seal off the hoof surface.
